One Cool School Excuse Note
I don't know how many times I have been driving through the drop off lane while searching for any little piece of paper to scribble a teacher note on. I have so many beautiful note pads and stationary ... yet there I am scribbling a note on the back of a McDonalds receipt. I'm sure the teachers just think I'm the most organized and put together mom on the planet ;)
Well people... this year I'm gonna have something cute and convenient to use.
This cute little Note for School is going to make me look like a rock star mom. Well, as long as I remember to have it in my binder and with me when I need it... but we won't worry about those little details right now... just focus on the cuteness of the note.
All you need to do is print out your PDF. Just click on the photo below and print away.
We are just days away from the first day of school, and we are working to get the backpacks ready for the big day. We have had our share of lost bags in the past, so this year we have some cute tags for the backpacks and lunch boxes. I took my luggage/camera bag tags and converted them into kid appropriate tags. I stuck with some of my favorite happy quotes that I hope will inspire the little ones just a little bit. If you would like to jump over to the luggage/camera bag tags, click HERE
On a side note, this awesome scalloped frame came from Hobby Lobby. Love it and the burlap covered cork board I put inside of it... Instant cute framed bulletin board for the desk in my bedroom.
What You'll Need:
Printer and Printer Paper: I prefer thicker paper approx 26lb
Scissors or Paper Cutter
Luggage Tag Laminating Kit: There are self-sealing sets and heat sealing sets. You will want the self-sealing set if you do not have a heating machine to melt the sticky goodness inside the pouch.
This is an extremely simple project. First, click on the photos below to download the PDF files.
Fill out the appropriate information for your child's name, grade/class, your name, phone and email. Then place the folded tag inside your laminated pouch and seal. If you run it through a heat sealing machine, it is best to do it twice, just in case.
Now you need to either use the supplied plastic ring to attach your tag to the bag or you can use a pretty ribbon for extra awesomeness.
I hope that you are all enjoying the rush around to get the kids out the door and back to school. Remember to take a few quiet moments for yourself on those first few days when they go back. It can be very emotional for Moms and Dads. I may have sat in a Waffle House for a few hours crying when my oldest started kindergarten... It was a very rough day. I have friends who schedule activities like massages, facials, or even have mommies first day of school lunches with friends on that day... just to pass the time and celebrate that they survived summer.
Whatever your coping tool, I hope that you have a wonderful school year and have more ups than downs and remember that you are an awesome parent and are kicking butt!!
