A Day at the Beach...

I love to look at the world through my camera lens...  it is probably the happiest quiet time that I have to myself.    I get very uneasy though when I'm on the other side of the lens and suddenly become a nervous 16 year old and start saying things like "don't you dare get my butt" or "please make mom look pretty in this one" :)  I'm probably being punished for all of the sneaky snapshots I took of my mom as she yelled "Michelle LEA!!"

I have taken morning drives the last three days, just for some quiet happy time to myself.  Today I headed out to the beach.  It was a beautiful and warm day here in South Florida and all of the snow birds were out in full force at the local beach.  I paid my $2.00 to park and took a walk on the pier.  On a side note, I also LOVE to people watch.  My husband says I'm nosey... but I like to call it very observant.  I'm always engrossed in other couples conversations when we are out on a date night.

Anyway.  I snapped a few photos from the pier and then slipped off my shoes and took the most wonderful stroll on the beach.  Ohhh how the sound of the waves crashing and sand between your toes can heal your heart and make you feel amazing! Ohh and the smell of hawaiian tropic suntan lotion, the best smell of summer.  Thankfully the sunscreen also smells heavenly... no more of that oil to bake your skin... that's a thing from my childhood that my kids will never know about.  That and winding back a cassette tape with a pencil (or your finger.... wow did that hurt sometimes).

The beach had rows of umbrellas and cabanas with comfy chairs lining the shoreline in pretty blues and oranges.  I'm going back one afternoon and renting one with my hawaiian tropic suntan lotion and a soft towel...  I may even read a book magazine or just sleep... sleep sounds good.

And a few photos from my morning exploring, Enjoy <3

Enjoy your Thursday and have a wonderful weekend!!
